The steps to get here

Running for city council was not a decision I made at the drop of a hat. Below is a summary of the timeline I took to get where I am today.

With your help I will be able to add winning my first City Council election to this timeline come April 4th!

Scott Zimmer Called Me

July 16 2022

In years past I talked to Bob and Scott about running for City Council, however, due to how often I traveled for work the schedules would not be compatible. Since I was not traveling as often Scott asked me if I was still interested in running.

I Started Researching the Job

July 25th 2022

I met with Scott to discuss the role and responsibilities for a member of the city council. The job sounded great. I immediately felt like this would be a wonderful way to give back to my community.

First In Person Council Meeting Attended

Aug 17 2022

I attended my first city council meeting in person. Scott Zimmer introduced me to the other members, the mayor, and the city staff who were attending.

August 25 2022

I met with Mayor Briggs to discuss the job and to ask him his thoughts on the needs of the community.

I'm In

August 26 2022

After discussing everything I learned and the commitments that will be involved with a position on City Council with my wife, I officially decided to run!

Officially Pulled Papers

October 3 2023

I officially pulled papers to run for City Council.

I Started Collecting Signatures

November 5 2022

I started collecting signatures by going door to door. I knocked on every door in the Westhaven Subdivision over the next 58 days. It was great meeting many of my neighbors I had not met before.

I Officially Filed For the Election!

Jan 3 2023

I officially turned in all of my signatures to the city and the state is looking everything over to officially approve me for the ballot.
